Brenda Jeane Hausman, born January 3, 1948, in Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away at the age of 76 in Blue Springs, Missouri.

Brenda grew up in Chamois, Missouri. She earned her bachelor's and master's in nursing from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia after attending the University of Missouri in both Columbia and Kansas City. She was a compassionate individual with a remarkable career that spanned across Arlington, Virginia and Bethesda, Maryland. Brenda served on the Virginia Board of Nursing in Richmond for a year and retired after 31 years as a clinical research nurse from the National Institute of Health.

One of Brenda's proudest accomplishments was her loving partnership with her late husband Colonel Conrad K. Hausman, Retired, who served in the US Army. Together, they dedicated their time to raising awareness for the Korean War Memorial through numerous fundraisers. Brenda's charitable endeavors also extended to supporting the Alzheimer's Association, among many other charities.

Throughout her life, Brenda found joy and solace in various hobbies and interests. She had a passion for crochet, ballet, and cats - particularly rescued cats and the barn cats she sheltered. Additionally, she delved into the art of ikebana, a type of Japanese flower arranging, and practiced aikido, a Japanese martial art form.

Brenda Jeane Hausman is preceded in death by her husband, Colonel Conrad K Hausman, Retired; father, Hubert John Smith; and mother, Mary Franchen (Eades) Smith. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband in Arlington National cemetery.

Brenda will be dearly missed by all who knew her as a kind-hearted individual who touched the lives of many through her work and generosity. May she rest in peace knowing that her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she loved and inspired.
