SkyPoint Federal Credit Union (SkyPoint), a community-based, not-for-profit, financial institution in Montgomery County, proudly announces the appointment of Cassandre Cassamajor as its Business & Community Development Director. In this pivotal role, Cassamajor will:
Lead the designated Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) credit union,
Drive strategic community partnerships, fostering membership growth,
Champion financial inclusion in the greater Washington D.C. metro region.
Cassamajor brings a wealth of experience to SkyPoint, having previously served in community development and financial inclusion roles. Under Cassamajor’s strategic guidance, SkyPoint aims to strengthen ties with local underserved communities and create pathways to economic prosperity. Prior to joining SkyPoint’s Community Development team, Cassamajor served as a personal banker and service manager, with over 10 years of experience in tailoring products and services to meet clients’ financial needs with a focus on financial literacy
SkyPoint helps members, partners, and communities that they serve within the greater Washington D.C. region to “gain access to the investment capital and financial services needed to prosper, increase economic independence, and drive overall economic growth and community development”. This includes supporting both members and the community through today’s biggest financial challenges and providing constituents with entry into safe, affordable banking, homeownership, and more.
In this newly appointed role, Cassamajor reportedly will leverage and drive greater awareness for SkyPoint’s CDFI designation to build on productive relationships with key community influencers and private/public partners involved in meeting community development, as well as with those that serve the needs of the underserved communities.
Cassamajor is committed to developing and implementing programs that promote financial wellness and access to credit and savings to underserved communities. To create new opportunities and support membership growth and retention, Cassamajor is scheduled to work with community partners and other resource providers to ensure SkyPoint’s product and service relevance with target markets to drive revenue growth and profitability by expanding SkyPoint’s reach.
