Gaithersburg Holiday Events

- The Winter Lights Festival is a 3.5-mile drive through a dazzling display of more than 450 illuminated sculptures and 65 animated vignettes that celebrate the holiday season. The festival runs from November 24 to December 31, 2023 (closed on December 25) at the Seneca Creek State Park. Tickets start at $20 and can be purchased online. 

- The Jingle Jubilee & Tree Lighting is a free outdoor event that features live musical performances, holiday crafts, hot chocolate, and a visit from Santa Claus. The event takes place on December 2, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Concert Pavilion. The highlight of the night is the lighting of the 30-foot holiday tree.

- The Resident Artist Series - Holiday Jewelry Design is a workshop where participants can learn how to create their own festive jewelry using beads, wire, and metal. The workshop is led by resident artist Karen Kehoe and costs $35 per person. The workshop takes place on December 3, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Arts Barn. 

- The Winter Chorus Concert is a musical performance by the Gaithersburg Chorus, featuring a variety of holiday songs and carols. The concert is free and open to the public, but donations are welcome. The concert takes place on December 12 and 15, 2023 from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rosborough Cultural Arts Center.
