High Voter Turn-Out in Gaithersburg, MD

Here is the summary of election results as of 11:20 PM Nov 7th:

- The municipal election for Mayor and City Council of Gaithersburg was held on November 7, 2023.

- The incumbent Mayor Jud Ashman won re-election with 81.36% of the votes, defeating challenger Stephen J. Escobar who got 18.64%.

- For the two vacant City Council seats, Lisa E. Henderson and Jim McNulty were elected with 30.77% and 25.02% of the votes, respectively. The other candidates were David Belgard (15.11%), Philip Cook (8.38%), and Yamil Hernández (20.72%).

- The voter turnout was 13.22%, higher than the 6.54% in the 2019 election for three City Council Members.
