Story Tapestries, an arts services nonprofit is hosting a FREE Community event on Sunday, October 22, 2023, to shine light on our incredible community and celebrate the work being done to amplify stories of transformation and bring JOY to the lives of community members facing significant life challenges. Attendance is FREE. Light refreshments provided. In lieu of a ticket cost, guests are encouraged to bring arts supplies or a gift card to contribute to a supply drive to ensure every student has what they need this school year. Supplies will be distributed in Art & Learning Kits that provide custom-designed, age-appropriate lessons and activities for children ages 2 and up and their families. Guests will also enjoy professional and youth performances, including Veronneau Jazz, and the presentation of Community Voices Lifetime Achievement Awards. Story Tapestries uses the arts as a tool to create accessible, open spaces and opportunities for individuals to reach their highest potential and work together for a more inclusive community. We provide joyful, innovative, culturally responsive performances, workshops and hands-on community and educational experiences. Our programs are designed to develop skills, connect people, support mental health, elevate diverse voices and celebrate youth and adults; and engage/ impact individuals where they live, work and thrive.
